The Contemporary Artists Center, Woodside is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Artist Services Coordinator.
Artist Services
Interviews begin immediately.
Assists residency artists in both their studio and non-studio needs
- schedules artist arrival and orientation,
- assists with tools and materials,
- aids in Open Studio events,
- keeps facility in order and provides general hospitality services to artists
- knowledge of multiple art mediums and methods required. New media a plus.
- must be patient and attentive.
We have a small office where we all pitch in. Like everyone else, the Artists Services Coordinator will perform a variety of functions as needed.

Volunteer
The CAC always welcomes those interested in volunteering time and talent for our organization. We work with dozens and dozens of volunteers each year, from lawyers and skilled professionals, to gallery docents and students.
In our present building renovation phase we primarily need any skilled or unskilled laborers for work parties and/or those with knowledge of historic materials and preservation.
On the administration side, office and design help is always appreciated.

Internships
Throughout the year several 3-12 month internships are available, from curation and design to art installation and administrative work. Interns are expected to work 20-30 hours per week and in exchange receive free housing and can participate in all CAC programs. Unfortunately, stipends will not be available for 2010. Interns need not be currently enrolled in a degree program.

Facility Intern: The CAC is looking for assistance maintaining our site from grounds maintenance to facility upkeep and light construction. We also have a small organic garden for those green-thumb inclined.
